The Four Winds

by Ann and Sara

Comic July 29, 2004(1:03AM) The comic doesn't seem to be updating when it's supposed to for some reason, if it doesn't come up tonight, it may sometime tomorrow. It's been uploaded, but for some reason, it's not on the site. I'm not sure why. The last comic updated sometime during the day instead of at midnight like it was supposed to so maybe that will happen again. Just letting you know. January 28, 2004(12:45AM) On behalf of Sara and myself, I would like to welcome you to The Four Winds.More sections will be added to the site soon, and the comic should update every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For those of you new to the Four Winds, which is probably most of you, since we didn't get many visitors on Zero Catch, the comic consists of an extended storyline that will follow the lives of various characters over the course of several years, progressing toward an eventual conclusive end. It is divided into four chapters, with The Wild Wind (Chapter 2) coming first. After this chapter, the readers will be magically transported back in time to Chapter 1 and view those events as though they are taking place in the present. This is not a mistake and is not meant to be confusing. It is simply a plot device. My name is Ann and I am the writer, director, and creator of the Four Winds. My friend Sara is the illustrator, co writer, and a contributor of ideas. Mostly, I write and she draws, but it is a collaborative effort and we help each other out. There are currently only two episodes of The Four Winds ready for viewing and it may be several weeks until more are ready. However, that does not mean that the site will not be interesting in the meantime. My cousin Madi and I came up with a crazy idea around two in the morning after consuming entirely too much sugar and wrote pages and pages of script for it in one long sitting that ended around Four AM. Given its origins and nature, I have simply decided to call it the Crazy Comic, because that, my friends, is what it is. It's mostly weird, somewhat random humor, but it actually has a continuous storyline of sorts. I am illustrating it myself, so please bear with the messy, black and white artwork. Please keep visiting our site. We have full intention of making this something big. The storyline is something that lives in my head, and like all of my stories, it is something special to me. My stories normally, come to me in the form of books , but this one entered my mind as a comic, probably due to the fact that I have started reading web comics quite a bit in the last few years. The characters are dynamic individuals that grow and change with the events that occur and I want you to see this. This is a story that I want to share with as many people as possible, so please give me some of your time and attention. Sara and I will do our best to make it worth your while. Agust 16, 2004 (9:42PM) It may be a while before the next comic comes up because I'm not sure where a scanner is at my college, but I will find one pretty soon(I hope)and make up all the comics that were missed. I appoligze for this , but I will tell you something amusing. I won an ice-cream sculpture contest!!! Wooo!
